I don't see how it could, but I'm a Radar tech, not a mechanic. I don't see any way for the exhaust to get into the radiator, unless the hg is leaking it there. And then, once again, the cap SHOULD releive any pressure above 13.5 PSI, or 15, if you have a hi-pressure cap on. Either way, it shouldn't be able to blow the radiator. If the cap is bad, on the other hand, and you DO have a HG leak, well there you go...

Got it from Performance Radiators in Coquitlam, just off United Blvd. Lists for $288 CDN. I got mine for $210 because I know someone at a Toyota dealership who referred me to them.

The radiator cap was not the problem, because I replaced them twice with new caps.

Thanks for your input. These forums are all about helping each other and letting off steam when it get's a liitle too hot, either under the hood or under the collar. Many thanks to you and all the other posters. If it weren't for this forum, I wouldn't enjoy wrenching as much as I do now.

Hey Troy,
I just had my oem rad replaced (had a very very small pinhole leak - nothing major but I don't like having doubts in the back of my head) with a performce radiator on my 3vze as well a month ago. Got it through Langley Toyota town.
