2.7 to 3.4

2.7 to 3.4
Been debating this for awhile. Finally found a motor. What all is needed to swap to the 3.4 besides the tranny and ECU? Is it worth the hassel?

You will need the harness, ignitor, fuel system air box, MAF, starter, maybe bell housing and on and on and on.
It would be so much easier to just sell your truck and buy one with a V6

the 4cyl's use the W59 5-speed and the v6 uses a "R" series transmission, I'm not sure if you can swap bell housings, but its something to look into

I think the conclusion around here like gadget said is to find another truck. more hassle than its worth. would be hard to find a std cab v-6 but they are out there. 96 and 97 are the only years i think.
