1999-2002 4runner SR5 Fog Light Installation Instructions

I've been wanting to add fog lights to my SR5, but have been unable to find a good set of installation instructions. Well, I went out and bought the toyota kit (PT297-89011) and it included very simple instructions, so I thought I would share.

There are 11 pages, and I can only upload 3 at a time, so I will be posting several times to get all the information included. Also, I'm allowed a larger file size when loading them as *.png, hopefully everyone can read that format.

Thank you for posting this. Btw, I know this is old, but where did you get your fogs? I'd like to purchase a set. The lighting on my 2002 SR5 stinks

I bought the fog light kit off ebay from www.ptcfactoryoutlet.com.
With shipping the kit cost $183.45.

Hi, I too bought that exact fog light kit for my"99 4 runner. On page 7 of the instructions, the diagram shows a green and black wire to connect w/green and black in #10 position and red and black in #11 in connector c-13.My truck has a white and black in #11 and NOTHING in #10.Apparently the instructions don't cover all years. Can you shed any light on this? Thanks

I purchased the same fog kit also, however I have grey and black in PIN #11. Can anyone shed some light on this please. Should I use PIN 10 Black/Red and PIN 11 Grey and Black to connect? Does anyone have instructions? I've called the Toyota dealership and they don't know how to install. Are you kidding me?

Thanks,
BigSystems

I've been using a pair of 15 dollar harbor freight knock offs for 4 years and they work well especially with the light baffle removed inside!
*******no NOT on the Highway!

How do the Micro hellas work on the 99 runner?
Any issues with moisture getting in them or longevity?

Sharrak - The 99 Runner does not have the colored wires as indicated in the manual and also the 99 have "2' connectors behind the knockouts that should be used for something but not sure what.

I recently installed the Hella Micro DE's on my 4runner and they work great. Although they have a rubber grommet around the back-side, I'd still recommend fabricating a splash guard. Someone has a templete here on this site so check it out.

How do the micros perform?
Do they shoot way out in front like the headlamps or flood wide closer tothe vehicle?
