Lightbulb 1/2 ISR mod

I finally got underneath the hood and took the stock intake tubing out to look at what I was replacing and how it would need to be plumbed.
Well I went to lowes and other shops and started to look at what I might use to do the ISR mod on my 94 3.0. Before i could get all the stuff i needed on Saturday afternoon I decided I didn't have enough time to do it all and find a shop that would still be open. I wanted my yota moded today!
To make an allready long story shorter I bought a 2" quick cap (Lowes <3$), a piece of 3/8 fuel hose (local parts store) and fashioned up the stock intake minus the little expansion chamber on the bottom.
With my leftover dough i bought cleaner & oil for my dirty drop-in K&N.
I'll be doin the complete ISR mod (or at least my version) next week sometime.

Thanks for all your ideas and help people. I know I don't post a lot but I've been reading... a ton. I went from 1 honda and 1 mitsubishi car to 2 4Runners in the past 5 months.

Stupid question about ISR Mods

ISR, what is it. It sounds as if your talking about the air intake tube but I wont assume. I wanted to know what the ISR is, what you get from performing the mod, & price wise for parts. Oh and pics! I have a 1991 3.0 & I am all about trying new things out on my toy so fill me in so I can play to.

The full writeup is here in the tech section:

http://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/...ntake/dr_z.htm

The point of the mod is to remove all of the intake silencer pieces (ISR = Intake Silencer Removal). The net result is a quicker throttle response.

It goes very well with the "deckplate mod" which is written up here in a couple of places:
