These are all of the parts before they went on the truck. To my surprise i couldn find the right rotors from anywhere in town, which is odd since these are found on a huge variety of toyotas. The only place that had them was trailgear.

This is what they look like on my solid front axle. These brakes work very well i am very satisfied with the napa eclipse calipers.

Thanks about the exhaust, i had it on an 85 pickup too but it wasnt removable. This is some pics of the truck after lowering the rear end a bit and compleatly reworking the rear bumper and hitch, and the exhaust sounds awesome as well, the header really gives it a monster scream.

The taco in the pic is my 50 year old mothers truck ha ha

Did the front axle makeover today. I guess i should explain first exactly how i aquired this truck, that way some of the stuff i post doesnt look so bad. The last truck i had i had built myself (86 4runner). I like to sell and trade my vehicles alot to make a profit, and i was selling the 4runner to build a turbo miata, but i had a guy offer to trade me my current truck. It was in really rough shape. I am a service writer with schooling in the industry and have been working on cars since highschool, and i would say the truck was unsafe to drive by all means. The SAS was a complete failure when i got it, and the first time it saw dirt the shock hoop came off on it!!! well i knew it was like that but i was capable of fabrication, so i literally blew it all back apart in a weekend, almost killing my harbor frieght angle grinder ha ha! I made sure everything was plum and in the correct location and replaced all the old pigeon crap welding with nice fat mig beads instead. I would say i have spent around 50 to 60 hours of labor in it by know and honestly the only thing i have added to it is sliders. The majority of work that has been done was just welding it all together like a big kit car again.

The best part of it all, this truck has close to 7 thousand bills into it by now on just new parts!!!! so hell ya i will trade you a 4runner with a salvage title with 4 grand into it! I new this guy was just trying to get rid of it because the way it was built, but thats ok with me know!

Took off all the usless left overs off the axle, next is the old ifs diff mounts. Can you believe he left those on?

The pieces i cut off with acetylene torch today. I just got more gas so the truck is getting alot of work. Im getting a little torch happy ha!

Before grinding

Had to take a break before i do the back side

The peices i cut off on the ground and the axle and steering links with new paint

So i sold the old gmc so i bought a bumper, hi lift, and winch on the front. It looks alot better with the front end, really interested in how this eBay winch will do! I tried it out a little yesterday and with a good anchor it will pull my truck no problem with all 4 tires locked up in a sandy ditch. The bumper is Rock Defense, the jack is an all cast 60" hi lift, and a $380 eBay winch rated for 9.5k lbs.

These are the lastest picture of my truck. Paid 3 bucks for some pinstripe tape and some creativity later i had a cool stripe on the truck. Also pictures of the stickers on my truck.

I need an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, mine reads at almost 0

when I first fired up my motor and my oil pressure gauge didnt move much I almost shat a brick.

turns out the sensor or gauge is messed up, no way I could have gotten 1000 miles out of the new motor with no oil pressure
