lilbigmike's 91 carbed single cab on 40's

I am new to the sight and figured I would post up a little story / info about my truck named "big black" . I picked this truck up about 7 months and upon getting it home i knew it was going to be a project, but there was many surprises to come ! When buying it I noticed the previous owner has cut all the wiring harness and added a motor that had a carbed intake manifold to it. My plans were to simply slap a mech fuel pump on it and let her eat , but upon buying a mech pump figured out there was no lobe on to operate the mech fuel pump. I added an electric mr gasket fuel pump from advance for 4cyl's and got it running from a tank in the back of my truck, that is when the wallet came out !

Upon getting it running i figured out there was a blockage in the cooling system so i went ahead and replaced the water pump , therm, radiator, and fan clutch. this made the truck run cooler but i needed to figure a way to get the truck to run off the tank instead of a 5gal can in the back of the truck so down the tank went. I took the pump out and used a piece of 3/8 to fun threw the pickup. I am currently running the lines threw 3 filters before going into the carb bc upon dropping the tank realized the fuel tank was severely varnished and i wasnt able to get it out.

So now that the truck was running I figured out that there was a problem with the front end... hoping it was hubs but it turned out the cross shaft in the locker shattered. I purchased a complete front end rebuild including a true trac , 5.29s , and master install kit. since fixing it all up i have torn out all the dash to get the wiring "fixed" from were the previous owner hacked it up ... as of now i got it so the it will start with the key, and the headlights will turn on with high beams and now the fun part begins of hooking all the rest up to get it running / functionable like it should be

Truck is a 91 with the 22re that is carbed, rear is welded, front is locked with detroit both geared 5.29s has custom aluminum bumpers and is sitting on a set of 39.5 tsl's

there is about a half size dollar hole in the door for rust and than the bed has a dent that is the only defects in the truck body wise , but i do plan on fixing them to make it perfect

had the dash already torn apart and partially started and i had the whole day off yesterday except for an interview that only took 1 hr, its amazing how much work can get done when you have a whole day to do stuff , i probably wont get to mess with the rest of it until next week sometime because of my work schedule ...

\got everthing put together couldnt get the temp gauge working so i ran a mechanical gauge. wired the ac and recharged it with 134 blows nice and cold ! got to run it and see how it wheeled compared to my jeep, and everthing was going good until something in the front end broke ..... now comes the tear down to see what broke , from the out side i see the cv and pass side stub are still connected but the stub is coming out of the carrier... just hoping i broke the stub shaft and didnt mess up the true trac .... hopefully will get to pull the cover tomorrow and evaluate
