Bamacj5's 91 4runner build-up

Well here goes
Found a 91 4runner on craigslist, guy thought it had a blown headgasket. Talked him donw to 1500, got it to the shop runnin on about 3 cylinders. Got to looking around and I swaer thats the distributor cap that cam from the factory, got some junk AC Delco plugs in it. so off to the parts store. New cap, rotor.NGK plugs, factory wires, runs like a champ. compresion good in all cyclinders but i still dont trust it. So hunting season coming around, and i just sold my 98 4runner so i need some thing to drive. so im gonna slap a T-belt on this motor because the idler is about to lock up, fix the front end and the rear brakes.(I seriously dont see how these people were daily driving this thing, its Alabama for you)

Looking to do a 3.4 swap, went to junk yard today and scored a whole engine harness and PCM out of a 98 4runner, dont know if this was a good score or not but i only dropped 30 bucks on it(and opinions on if this is a good start or not would be appreciated) gonna put this on the shelf untill after hunting season though.

thinking about going with toyonlyswaps swap in a box but i gotta sell me diahatsu mini truck first.

Pics coming soon,

You would be best having the whole donor for your 3.4 swap. Be easier in the long run.

yea i just delt with a fiasco where I told a customer I would try to save the rotors, but odds are they would need replacing... I cut them, severly warped... end up below spec tell him.. and he says "but i cant afford rotors" man that guy signed paper work for 15 minutes saying I AM AWARE I AM DRIVING WITH UNSAFE SEVERELY WARN ROTORS. :p
