Not a hole lot chef and yea it's been awhile the single life has been damn fun man!! FREEDOM BROTHER!!! Well my buddy and I spotlight every sat in the spring and summer and hunt coyotes in the winter and the weapon of choice is our .22 pistols I think when I was doing the swap on carbs i managed to drop a casing in the intake...how it got in there and stayed without damaging anything is a miracle!! The Gasket was a time bomb once we looked at it...it's a wierd three piece cheap a?$ thing I'll get a pic up of it neither me or the old man have seen anything like it...got felpro's to go back in it

Well the old girl is back on the road it's amazing she ran before...I didn't take pictures of the ordeal but after pulling the head and seeing what the guy that rebuilt it did I decided to tear the motor down further and double check everything...the guy used two gaskets one being the cheap head gasket and one was the exhaust all others were just gasket maker/rtv real pro I guess...valves were anywhere between 0 and 6 thousandths way too tight...lower end checked out oil pressure is good and compression is good the truck is running better than ever...little embarrassed that I didn't check those things before but I learned my lesson

Truck is coming along great. One of my friends put on a Webber and it cleans up the engine bay alot. I now know why alot switch over to the Webber. What PO do to these trucks is suprising.

your uncle didn't know
Hey nephew I didn't know you had a thread on here. I will tell you one thing I have been working on your nephews truck every weekend and most evenings I will we got we got what we paid for. your comment about the mechanic is the same thing I have to say about the mechanic that rebuilt the motor we put in shanes truck. I wished guys that aren't real mechanics would stop making the ones that are look so bad hell I am starting to put some of these guys in the same class as a car salesman and lawyers. I am having a hell of a time finding information on the wiring coming of the alternator to the plug on the fender I want to pick up a new one the old wires broke right as they go into the plug and I tried repairing it but it didn't go so well. anyways just wanted to say your thread looks good nephew.

the webber has made a huge difference on the truck my economy has suffered a little but performace is night and day. The amount of crap it eliminates is pretty impressive as well.
good to see ya on here uncle i have seen some of the pictures of shanes rig and its looking good some guys should not be allowed to touch a motor thats for sure. i prefer big bore rifles for fish hunting haha
I do have some bad news on the old girl though she had a close encounter with a semi
