85 Toy Pickup resto on a budget...pics inside!!

Here's a couple pics of the motor getting put in. Got it all bolted up. I got it from a guy in Carlisle, PS. He apparently had it rebuilt about 8 years ago and it only has 30-40k on it. It has good compression, and apparently has a cam and was punched .20 over. It came with the complete power steering kit, dash w/ tilt steering and a clean pad, header and a carb. Hopefully it it fires up. Just need to track down an intake manifold and get some gaskets. It was an pre 85 motor and I don't think the 85 intake will work. Anyone know???

Got the motor 95% buttoned up. The truck is all painted as well. Just got to put the mirrors and tailgate along with the headliner and floor mat back in. Mecahinically it's going to need a small coolant leak addressed on the heat coolant line which runs along the drivers side of the motor (does it need a gasket??), finish figuring out the emissions lines (vaccuum leaks), and dial in the carb. I didn't see a gasket for the coolant line on the old motor, but it may have gotten "lost" while swapping parts from one mill to the other. This is the last time I will ever interchange an early bare block with an 85+ motor. It had a lot of small differences which wouldn't be a problem if you had two complete motors. Since the 83 22r was bare it got frustrating with the intake/exhaust differences, and the lower alternator bracket to name a few. Well the hard part is over. Should have it on the road again over the weekend. Here's a couple more pics.
