Distress Sale! 1989 4-Runner
Wifes truck (and my boat puller) gave up the ghost this morning. I believe it will need a new long-block, and since the old girl has such high miles, I think it's time for something new.
So, I may be put in a situation where I have to sell my toy.
Here's the short buildup thread: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f77/...st-gen-104270/
It's a 1989 SR5 with the 3.0, manual.
150K miles (+-) runs beautifully.
Original Paint.
Swapped Auto-Hubs for added Aisin Manual Hubs.
3" Body Lift + Ball Joint Spacers and Shackles, easily clears 33" Swampers.
Brand New 33" Swampers with Modular Steel Wheels. Less than 1000 Miles.
Downey Bikini Top. Original Top included, but needs work.
60" Hrew Sliders with kickouts.
Pro-Comp light bar with lights.
AC Doesn't work, but is all there. Heat and everything else works fine. Interior in OK shape for it's age, all there. Driver seat a little tattered, and minor cracks in dash. A Few tiny spots of rust (barely noticable) by rear fenders. It's not 'Skunkwerks' clean, but a pretty nice truck that runs awesome with lower miles.
I really enjoy it, and wouldn't be selling it if I didn't need the cashola.
$4000 firm. Or trade for an extended cab truck/suv with a V8 to pull my boat.

I panicked yesterday and didn't know what to do. I was just really pissed because I spent all day Sunday putting a complete AC system in the wifes truck.
We'll figure out another way. I don't know what I was thinking. This TOY will now be my daily driver, the wife gets the '90. I put the top on the 1st Gen yesterday so I don't have to worry about the rain. It's the first time the top has been on since I owned it. I was glad to find out the rear window works nicely.

Yes, off the market, sorry. I can't sell this thing. Not until I exhaust all other resources to pull together some cash. I don't finance vehicles, because credit is the devil.
Oh, I also told the wife to get a full time job so she can buy her own truck this time. That went over well.

Good news from the garage that I had the wifes truck towed to. Turns out a heater hose popped off the block, and the engine is fine since the wife shut it down before it overheated.
I'll still be on the couch tonight, though. That's allright.
