Are ProComp MT's any good?
I am looking for a good quality MT that is inexpensive. What do you guys think of ProComps? Click the link for the exact tire im talking about. Blue

My friend has pro comp mt's on his Jeep Cherokee. They are generic brand of BFG or some other big name. He is happy with them.
They look good and the center lugs are siped which is cool. I wish the MT/R's had that.

$168 ea. for 4 tires... sounds good to me. MT/R's are around $210 ea. for 35/12.5's? big savings there.
Maybe you should get some more opinions on price, I'm no expert on that.
I'm pretty sure the tires are good since my friend recommends them, just don't know about the price.

Check around some more...In the latest copy of 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine, there's an add for Pro Comp tires (by Pro Comp, not a vendor) and they are supposed to be on sale (in theory from any Pro Comp dealer) for buy 3 get 1 free...ask around. 4wheelparts.com and nationaltire.com usually honor these sales if you can't get them locally.

YW. You know, one more thing I just thought of is that it may not go into effect till the first of March, since we are nearing the end of the month...but I guess thats why you need to ask around

Just spoke to my friend.
Pro Comps are made by Cooper Tires. Cooper makes private label tires for tons of people. Pro-Comp is 4WheelParts private label. He likes the tires alot.
He also mentioned the 4 for 3 sale Pro Comp has several times a year- you might just be able to ask for it since it's a regular sale they do. He got that deal too.

I dont have any personal experience with them but i have a buddy who has gone through ten pro comp 31X10.50 in about 35,000 miles. maybe his front geometry is messed up, i dont know.

I actually saw a review of many popular off-road tires and the new Firestone Destination MT came out #1, teh Goodyear MT/R was #3, and BFG Mud was like #10. The Firestone's are pretty cheap, I just priced them today at work. Our cost on them in a 265/75 was around $125 per tire, retail would be around $160. I can get a good deal for anyone local to me on these, around $140/tire. I am seriously considering cancelling my order of MT/R's and getting these instead.
