Pro Comp A/T Tires- Any Opinions

Well, its almost time for some new tires. I found a set of Pro Comp A/T 285/75/16's with a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty.

Wanted to find out if anyone has had any experience with these tires. I have seen many with the MT's, but noone with the A/T's.

Reason for considering these is that not many LT A/T tires come with a treadwear warranty.

My brother has a set of those on his '00 Taco 32x11.5/15 They are pretty quiet and seem to have good wet weather traction. They do have the severe weather rating but he was a bit disappointed with their snow performance. He kept slipping and sliding while I could just keep trucking along( I run BFG A/T's), but that could be due to the fact that his rear end is relatively light compared to my 4runners. They are wearing really well that's for sure.

That's good to hear. Currently I am running Mastercraft A/T's and they seem to do pretty good in the snow. The Pro Comps seem to have a similar tread pattern as the BFG A/T's and the Mastercraft A/T's, so I'm hoping that if I end up getting these, they perform as good as the Mastercraft I currently have, just last longer. I am getting about 20K to 23K out of a set of the Mastercraft. This is the second set I have had.

There a good tire. You will probably get around 40,000 out of a set of AT's. I bought a set of Extreme At's last year about this time and they still Look and ride like brand new. I work at an Off-Road shop and we sale alot of sets this month because they are buy 3 get 1 free. We actually start taking pre-orders for them about a month before they go on sale and end up doing about 50-60 sets during october.
As far as quality goes they are a good tire, They are made by cooper.

Have any pics of your Xtreme ATs by chance, I'd like to see what they look like.

I don't have a good close-up pic of them on my truck. I can get one though if you want.
I checked around this morning and I can't find anyone that has them in stock in the 285/75/16. I think that small of a tire is still in production. I have the 35" tires on mine. On the other hand all of the Pro-comps are on sale this month.

I ran them on my 90 last winter and was very happy with them. Great in the show. Slid a little when braking hard in just rain though. overall great tires!

My buddy went through a set pretty quick. If they're the same tread pattern as they used to be, they were pretty noisey too ."Tire whine"

Those probably weren't the AT design. Pro Comp has a few different Xtreme tires. Everyone I know with the AT's think they are very quiet and they hardly wear in the first 20000 miles.
