Interco 31x9.5 swamper radials

I was looking for a new style of tire for my soon to be truck. I like the look of the interco swampers. I want something that will fit stock, and not waste too much gas.

Does anyone have the 31x9.5's on their truck? pictures? recommend them or another size?

anyone have experience with interco tires and how they perform?

here's what i was looking at : http://www.intercotire.com/site29.php

Oh yeah, it would be going on an 84 pickup, 22R, stock, 5spd

I have the SSR series tire on my truck, 33x12.5 definatly wont fit stock but i have been very very happy with them and will most likely be buying another set when these wear out. Im sure you could get a smaller size that would fit on your truck stock with out a problem. The tires run really smooth going down the road, unless my rims are packed with mud but thats a different story. They also do pretty good off-road. Ive had them in snow and mud and they worked good in both.

I don't have any pics of the 31x9.50 Swamper radials, but I've seen them on a stock early '90s pickup before. The weird thing about them is that the center lugs are pretty much a continuous zig zag around the circumference of the tire, instead of being separate chevron-shaped lugs. The 33x10.50 Swamper radials are the same way. Like this:

I ran 32x10.50 Swamper radials for several years on my stock '88. They were relatively quiet for a mud terrain, and I got pretty good mileage out of them with even tread wear. Here is a shot of them on my '88, and another shot of them on my '94.

I would buy those tires again, if I needed them in that size. But my '94 has tiny little all terrains cause it's a daily driver, and my '88 has 36" bias ply Swampers.
