Help Me Pick Rims

One of the last things I have left on the list for my 4runner is new rims. I have narrowed it down to either the stock 5 stars or the MB Blitz.

If I get the 5 stars I can either leave them the stock color or paint or powder coat them black or another color of course.

Let me know what you think.

Here are some really bad Paintshops. Lol.

My 4runner:

5 stars stock color:

5 stars painted black:

MB Blitz:

My Vote is for Stock 5 Stars or your Originals

I can't get crazy about painting them...looks like a maintenance pain to me.

Do you really have to maintain powder coated things? I thought it was pretty durable. I don't really offroad either.

If it makes any difference I'm probably going to have some TerraGrapplers of BFG KO's soon.

Sorry, I misunderstood...I thought you were going to spray paint them like several others have done on here. Powder coat should hold up...but that would be a question for waskillywabbit

I'm not sure about powder-coating aluminum

Does that work?

Lol. I have no idea. I think some others have PC'd their's.

Here is a real Photoshop of the Blitz. Still trying to get someone to do the 5 stars.

I think you can powder coat them. If you can that would be the way to do it...I need to have the steel wheels on my Jeep CJ-7 re-powdercoated...they are white (23 years old) and have started to look stained.

On your runner, I'd say go with the Limiteds, I love those wheels, right up there with LC 5 spokes...

Thanks for the responses so far. Do you have a side picture of that 4runner with the Blitz rims? I'm assuming the offset is fine?

Here is a real Photoshop of the 5 Stars painted black:

More pictures would be cool.

If the Blitz offset is -6 and the stock offset is -12, does that mean they will stick out a little farther?

No, they will be in father by a little bit. I run -19MM offset on my 4runner, which made them stick out.

Oh ok. So they would be about .25" closer to the wheel. That's not too much.

.25 closer to the frame. The wheel is what would bring it farther in...

Yeah...Lol. That's what I meant to say.

I wish the guy who is selling his rims on here would PM me back. It's been like 3-4 days. :\

I think the MB's look best with the silver on your truck.
