Not getting Power into Cab

1985 4runner auto 4x4. Swapping in a carbed sbc 700R4. The only wires that have been removed are is the harness that connected to the ecu on passenger floorboard. Almost complete I decided to throw a battery in the 4runner and see what works. THe fuse panel under the hood gets power but I cannot get any power to the inside of the 4runner. Any help appreciated.

start by testing the wire that brings power to that fuse block in the cab. if there is no power there then trace that wire back to where it gets power and check there, and so on.

Are you using the existing alternator wiring? or have you run a new wire fron the alternator?

The way the original wiring runs, there are 2 splces between the alternator and the under hood fuse block, one is on the alternator side and heads into the cab, the other is just short of the underhood fuse block and I think it goes to starter relay or starter.

good place to start.

I just took another look at the wiring. I reconnected all of the factory quick connectors and seems that one of them wasnt fully connected. Now everything inside works!!!!!!!!! All I have to do now is find a wire off of the ignition that is hot only when the key is on for the starter solenoid and my msd box. For the box I will test the factory toyota coil plug but might just use the lug on the early style ford starter solenoid that I installed. Jared
