2LT Carnage
HELP. I purchased my first Toyota this summer from a fellow user's wife after he passed away. I am a Diesel Tech student and was using my 1987 4x4 5 speed Toyota 2LT as a commuter back and forth to college for the past 3 months. I have dumped a ton of money and time into it and this morning it decided to send a rod in cylinder 1 through both sides of the block. It left a 4 inch whole on both sides of the block. Where can I get a long block in the states? I found one website but its a Chinese Reman and I don't know how I feel about that. Obviously its pretty hard to get parts here in the states however I live in Washington so Canada is close and I'm on the west coast closest to japan. Is it worth the work or am I wasting my time and money? Is there a more common block that I can switch my head onto? Is the 22R block the same? I am a Chevy and Ford guy and rolled the dice on this Toyota and am regretting it hardcore. HELP!

Hey. Just joined and saw your issue. I have a complete engine as well as a parts engine for sale. I'm in williams lake bc. Might be tuff to get her with the corn hole virus crap happening but just thought I would put it out there.
