I sent them a stock flex plate and spacers from my 1UZ. They took the measurements to locate where the ring gear should be and the bolt pattern. They were doing a production run of the 5VZE flywheels so they made me a custom flywheel. They had to reset the machine to cut in the ring gear and bolt holes. I just called and talked to a tech, I think his name was John, and explained what I needed. As for as the product it looks second to none but I have yet to start me engine to see how the extra weight affects it. I am getting very close though.

My clutch came in yesterday. I will be installing it and mounting the slave cylinder this weekend. If I have time I'm going to finish up the wiring.

I got the clutch installed but I couldnt put the trans back in. I am using a Tacoma 3.4 clutch but I have to use a 3.0 through out bearing so now I have to order one. Hopefully I can locate one tomorrow local but we'll see. Here are the installed pics of the clutch and the through out bearing difference. I also had a few members asking about my adapter and installing the 1UZ bell housing. Here are some pics to show were I had to notch the bell to clear some of the bolts. Also notice I had to use some hex bolts in a few places.

Oh.
Are you using that for any special reason? Why wouldn't you just use the stock weight? I mean stock 3.0/3.4?

This is going to be a crawler so I want the extra weight to keep the engine spun up. Most places that manufacture flywheels either build them lightweight or high torque. There is no way I was going to run a modified stock flywheel. "Modified" meaning enlarging the stock holes to match the 1UZ. I plan on beating the hell out of this thing and I'd really like to keep my legs. I wanted the 3.4 flywheel because the clutch disc is bigger.

I drilled the four corners out and then cut it with a grinder. I also used a hacksaw because the grinder will not get the corners.
