For the most part i have just been getting the chassy up to par, new lower ball joints(toyota oem) new front rotors, outer cv boot... would like to make a piece of pipe to replaced my frankin lower radiator hose just need to get the ball rollin. warm weather is almost here and i want to be busy
another update: started on a second swap! not for me but my friends 87 runner.. sweet rig SAS on 37's. suprising how much master the swap comes together when you have done it before! and the fact its in a shop not my driveway.....

85toyman...
okay looking threw your sig, you will be on easy street making yours fit wether your using a ls400 engine or sc, the oil filter fitting? this i just used a shorter filter and solved that issue. no body lift and no hood clearance issues either.
for the most part the lower you get on MY swap the closer the engine gets to the chassy. i had to remove the lug on the crossover bar for my steering damper or it would hit the oil pan. there is only about a 1/4" between it and the bar(oil pan vs steering)
good luck once you get started trust me you will be very happy when your done

Do you got any pics of the oil pan clearance. With my pan sitting on the cross over bar and taking a profile shot you can see about 1/3 of the intake throttle body opening. I removed the pan to sit it down in there and get it situated where I want it. I will modify the pan if I have to to get this thing in without a body lift.
If you got some more shots of the engine bay as well? Always like more of those.

85toyman, I have about a 1/4 inch in the lowest spot for steering clearance. There is no steering dampener at this time because the mounting point would hit the oil pan, so I cut it off. I have since swapped to 4:10's to help with freeway drive-ability.. decreased the crawl factor but made dd much more pleasant.

The auto tans will not throw a code when disconnected, at least for my model year. The light was on for other sensors witch have since been repaired.
