PO 441 "Evap Emissions Control" flow code. Any 1 else running without the EVAP system
Hey ya'll!
Finished my swap like a year ago now and the truck is running amazing and smooth. The motor and all according swap components are from a 1996 T100. So when I pulled this motor from the donor it didn't come equipped with a EVAP box or anything of the sort. Curious why my ECU is throwing a code for my evap emission control when I dont even have a evap set up. Question though, where the 3.slo canister is removed from and where that hard line from the fuel tank comes from that 90's up into the canister, what have you guys done to that hard line if you do or dont have a evap set up? I capped it off with a vacuum cap but whenever i refueled and loosened the gas cap, more pressure then my 3.slo had would come out of the gas tank so i just poked a little hole in the top of the vacuum cap that i put on the hard line to relieve that excess pressure. Would that be the cause of the code being thrown? anywhere else i should look to try and resolve this issue? thanks guys. #5vzfewins!

You donor vehicle did come with an EVAP can, I gaurantee you. You just don't have one installed. Your code will never go away until that can is installed. And no it will not affect power in any way!
The 3.4 can is completely different from the 3.0 can.
I have a 3.4 can if you are interested.
