A340H 3.4 Swap #2

Okay Guys the time has come to start a thread and try and maintain it while working full time and doing my 2n'd 3.4 A340H swap. I recently acquired a 92 4Runner that has a blown 3.0 (Bad knock, and bent valves in holes 3 and 4) if it was fixable (i.e. head-gasket) i would have just fixed it. Anyway So i also Acquired a 3.4 for $200, it has a blown head-gasket. thats not to hard of a fix i figure. But with my truck down because of its frame damage. I have a complete swap sitting in it. So what i will be doing is temporarily (till i get the truck fixed) borrowing the Harness and Engine. Engine will stay perm ill put the rebuilt 3.4 in my truck after fixing it. I think u all will understand in the long run. Anyway I will try to document this swap as much as i possibly can. I will be making a T100 Conversion harness for my original swap and for the new 4runner swap, 2 total. I will document and take as many pictures as i can.

Here are pictures of the 92 4runner and the blown 3.slow.

Well I pulled the engine from my truck the other-day, and managed to drop it when the chain mysteriously came unhooked. It was dark +30 and no lights by the time i set it down in front of the truck. I haven't been back to it since. So i have no idea on what kind of damage I did to the engine or the truck itself, when the engine dropped about 18 inches onto the diff. Sunday i hope to pick the engine up and bring it home to put in the 4runner.

just a heads up, i pulled the crossover off to inspect it just to check and see. and guess what i found. Yep you got it I found a crack in that Y. it was about an inch long and was very thin but it was cracked. ill post picks up tomorrow of it after i had it fixed. So you all might want to check those crossovers again. Especially since ORS isnt around to get knew ones from.

Well i figured Sunday the 27th would be a great day to drop the 3.4 in the 4runner and get the majority of this swap wrapped up. But we had a little interruption. Probably the best kind of interruption u can get but non the less it will be next week before i get a chance to drop the engine in

My Son Merik Samuel Arrived Very early Monday morning. Weighing in at 8lbs 9oz and 22in.

here he is representing for the broncos
