Question Where to buy Hammerite paint?

The subject says it all. I haven't had any success at some local hardware stores finding the stuff, and I'm interested in giving it a shot. Anyone have any ideas as to what kind of places that may carry it?

The intended use would be for touch up on sliders, bumpers, skids, etc.

Edit: After checking with my local 4x4 board (), I found a place near me who carries the stuff.

McGuckin's here in Boulder carries a pretty good selection. I haven't tried the brush-on, but I've found the spray-on to be only slightly more durable than regular spray paints.

My sliderz were originally painted with Hammerite, and it flaked off and did not hold up very well, hence the reason I went to powder coat.

The powder can be touched up with regular spray paint in areas that need it.

Hmm, I might have to take a trip up there some time, but I have to think the stuff is available down here, too. Just don't know where to look.

Have you tried the Rustoleum Hard Hat stuff to compare Hammerite to? That has been the other paint I've heard good things about for this purpose. I like the sounds of an integrated primer for a one stop shop with Hammerite, though.

Don't fall for the 'paint right over rust' line. If it's not hard steel or an intact coating, it's going to come off eventually.
Haven't tried the Hard Hat stuff & don't know of anyplace else that has the Hammerite.

Not sure what color you want, but go here and type Hammerite in the search window.
