a little advice please
My 89 hilux with 2LT is not charging so I figured the alternator need to be removed and checked possibly replaced. I am hoping it is just brushes.
Unlike my VW Jetta there are turbo oil lines running off the alternator. When doing a remove and reinstall of the alternator is there any special precautions to take to avoid turbo damage?
Asking you cuz if you can swap engines you probably know these engines very well. It is my first yota diesel and I am having trouble getting my hands on FSM.
Even this forum is pretty slim on info for diesel owners.
