4.0swap questions
has anyone ever put a 4.0 from a ranger or a explorer into a toyota???

I don't know that I would do this swap because for all the work you could put in a 302. But I will say that if you have one laying around they are a great motor I had a 94 ranger with the 4.0 and it was a really nice motor. Good power and great mileage. why do you ask, do you have a 4.0 laying around?

yea i have an old 93 explorer sitting in my yard with good motor but rusted pretty bad

You'll have to contact advanced adapters to see if they make an adapter for the engine to your transmission.

that is a nice motor and since you have it with the whole rig I would say go for it. if you use the exploder trans and transfer you could do a solid axle swap using a ford hp 44. take lots of picks and get to work.

yea im not doing this any time soon cause this is going to be my dd in a couple weeks but i also have an old 78 f150 sitting in my woods could i use the axles from that for the axel swap and what do i need to do for the axles to fit my truck
