A couple pics of my SAS 4Runner
Heres my 91 4Runner, V6, 5 speed
Im running 63" chevies out back with Marlin shackle mounts, homemade 7" eye-eye shackles and Skyjacker shocks
Up front im running Toy rear springs -stock- Marlin shackle mounts and again 7" shackles with a homemade front crossmember. Im not too happy with the crossmember. My uncle made it for me and I was planning on welding it on but he suggeted to just bolt it on. It works well but just not what I had in mind. The mounts are 1" forward and 2" lower. I think this setup works pretty well since I can run a flat spring and still have the ride height I want. The caster is set at 5 degrees. It drives great. No swaybars so it does lean and occasionaly at highway speeds around long turns it rocks back and forth. But nothing too bad. Im using TG steering. I moved the PS box forward as far as I could, about 2-3". I had to cut the front body mount. Im getting ready to re-enforce all that. I also cut away the front crossmember between the two front body mounts to allow my winch to sit tight against the radiator, removed the A/C condensor as well.
Still have a few loose ends to tie up.
Need to finish my square front Dshaft.
Fix my winch
Build my bumpers
RE-do shock mounts out back- not happy with the angle theyre on.
Im sure theres some other things as well
Well onto the pics. I have some more of the build just not on the computer yet.
Before:

First trip out of the shop

Flexing it to measure Dshaft

If anything breaks it his fault!!! hahah just kidding

Haha that was during the disasembly.
For now im running stock 4.1:1 open. Im doing this on a tight budget.
I know a lot of you dont agree with the order im doing this in. But to each his own.
The original plan was to be putting gears in in March and running either my Elocker in the rear and welding the front or running a spool up front and the Elocker. Now im trying to buy a house so unfortunatly gears are going to have to wait. At least a couple more months.
Total ive got about 2 grand in what I just did. Thats with 1000 going to new tires. Got the front springs for $40 and the wheel spacers for I think $40 as well thanks to 88rnr86up paid $100 for the rear springs and everything else is new. Bought through Marlin and Trail Gear. And picked up the winch for $100. Just got to get an $8 part which should be in next week.

You're not alone. That's how I sas'd mine, lift first then gears. Infact, just got the gears and duals finished not too long ago.
Since you bought some stuff from Chris did you join up on http://www.midatlantictoyotacrawlers.com/ ? If not do so and come wheelin' with us
