Those doors are gonna be sweet. I'd be too afraid to do that, but I guess it is easier if you have extra doors.

To swirl the guitars, I suspend the paint on water and you actually have to pass the object through the water. It took quite a while to get the technique down.

Sorry, I thought I was going to make it, but I can't. I have a damn commitment on that weekend that I didn't put on my calendar. I will most definitely be going out often this season, so I'm sure I'll finally get to meet some of you later.

I think I will actually head out to the desert this weekend just for a day trip to test out my setup. I can't wait until after Thanksgiving, it would kill me.

Have a good trip. Make sure to post pics.

I'm down and most likely open....I'll just have to let the boss know whats up....

You can roll with me Seth if your rig is not ready.....My truck is always ready for new dents....I just added a new high center mark on the pass side the other day bc my copilot was a little off and it was muddy....oh well....another one of these on the door.....

My truck seems to be one of the widest thus far so hopefully I make it.....do u think locked rear, open front, gears, good flex, and no care about dents or dings will make it..... 66" flange to flange rear w/ 33x1050's, btw

Thanks for the offer Blair, If 4th geners are considering running thier rigs through it, I'm sure we'll be ok. The SD crew is always accomodating and comfortable. Just don't ever get in a situation with Marc alone, he will try to get you to dress up like Steve Perry and sing Journey with him while he plays air keyboards.

drivetrain wise, you and I are setup pretty similarly, but your more carefree attitude of damage will get you further.

How is the truck running now? Did they resolve all of the issues?

supposedly.....

I've haven't put that many miles on it but will hit the 500 mile mark and have it checked b4 any runs.....

I am gonna take it easy on her this year as money to fix is virtually non-existent w/ school and all.... I plan on using my 12,000 mile warranty and then parting ways with her for a new project.....Plus I will be purchasing a NEW tow rig in may

As far as driving goes you have more slowspeed experience than I.....All previous rigs I have owned have been high speed 2x's and I still rarely use my current trucks for slow 4x stuff....trying to get into it though because it does not take a toll on the rig like the high speed does....

Who knows though....Maybe I'll drive the dd?

Should be fine.....my dd, if I take that, is open diff's.....

I dont know exactly what trail they're talkin bout, but my beater truck in its non built state made it through some thick stuff out there w/ open diffs, and my friend made it most of the way in 2x but it wasn't a huge fan b/c its a T-100 and the width was a little tight in a few spots.......

I'm gonna give it a shot without any real lockers. Sounds like a lot of us are running that way so we should be good. Not like we'll be alone. I cannot wait. I have not been out since Big Bear.

I am not planning on going the TTORA runs. I will wheel at Truckhaven all day on Sat, and Sun morning. Truckhaven is like a wheelers playground....hill climbs, narrow canyons, and rocky sections. There are only a few places where a locker may be needed, but there is always a way around.

I plan on leaving Friday night. I was planning on camping with the TTORA group on Friday and Sat night.

Here are some pics from truckhaven--

There are tons of other sites if you search.

That looks very cool. Not sure if I can do a Fri, Sat and Sun run but I will at least meet up for one day. I will let youknow what I can work out. Marc you know I am not the smartest guy in the world. Where is Truckhaven or the nearest town so I can mapquest it?

Since I can't go the weekend you guys are planning for, I'm heading out to truckhaven this weekend for a saturday day trip.

I'll try and take some pictures, but I might possibly be alone, so the pictures might be lame.

Jared- You probably shouldn't go alone. I never leave home without my buddy:

I'm thinking I will be coming out on the friday and I will have to leave saturday after the run. This is all if my rear suspension gets completed (it should)

Well I don't have one of those, but I'm trying to find someone to go with me. If I can't find anyone it isn't a big deal, I think Truckhaven is probably Woodworks 'R' Us on the weekends now, so if I get stuck, within 2 minutes someone will be around to help me get out of their way!!
