Open Wheeling in Crozet
found this on one of my jeep boards ,we need to get abunch of yodas up there lets DO IT!!!!
Subject: Open Wheeling in Crozet -- October 15th and 16th Weekend
When is the event?
Friday, October 14th setup camp anytime after 4:00PM
Saturday, October 15th 8:30 AM wheeling
Sunday, October 16th 8:30 AM wheeling
Trails end on Sunday by 3:00PM October 16th or earlier depending on the persons attending.
Where is the event?
The event will be held in Crozet, VA. Please check
<http://www.xjsrule.com/Event_Files/directions.htm> for directions. For any
questions regarding the event, please contact Chris Packard at
jeepnchris@xjsrule.com <mailto:jeepnchris@xjsrule.com> or (434) 823-1852.
What is the event?
We will have guided wheeling of all level trails, a night run on Saturday
night, and a large bonfire each night. Primitive on-site camping is
available. If desired/needed, we will separate tenting areas for noise
control.
Who can participate?
Club members as well as individuals with no club affiliation are welcome. This event is limited to the first 40 rigs that sign-up via PayPal (www.PayPal.com to jeepnchris@xjsrule.com <mailto:jeepnchris@xjsrule.com>). Participants are being asked to pre-pay via PayPal for this event to confirm a space. At other open events, we took the first 40 sign-ups via e-mail (and had to turn away some people), but then did not hit the max for the event. If you do not want to pre-pay via Pay Pal, please contact Chris for alternative options to save your space for the event.
What types of trails will be wheeled?
We will have guides available for all levels of trails (blues - stock to
some mods; blacks - 33's or larger, at least one locker, etc.; reds - if you
have to ask...). Participants will choose trail levels on a daily basis
(i.e. can run blues one day, blacks the next, and vice versa). There will be
a night run on Saturday night.
What is the cost for the event?
$25/day per vehicle (no passenger fee), $40/2-day weekend per vehicle
(no passenger fee).

Crozet is fun. I am already going to Rausch Creek that weekend for the mid-Atlantic TTORA Fall Colors Ride, otherwise I'd go to Crozet with you.
Even if you go there by yourself, and wheel with all the Jeepers, it'll be worth it. That's what I did about 5 weeks ago.
Here's my junk in the "Body Shop." (Lack of a front locker meant I had to be tugged out by three guys at the end of my tow strap, but no winch or other vehicle was required). More pics here.

looks like rain in Harrisonburg, but a nice weekend this side of Afton Mtn. If the trip falls through, hopefully there will still be room to go to Crozet.
