coyote camping does that mean going up the lower coyote canyon? If so I guess we will have to see how much rain we get around that weekend as it has two creek crossings (time to extend my diff breather)

We were at The Cove in Rockatillia. Drove to the restrooms I guessing 300 feet away, only reason he did was because it was REALLY windy.

I am interested. I had a lot of fun at Ocotillo so going back there is cool with me. Superstition I've never been to and it sounds like there's something for everyone there as well. Dec. 11th I am unsure about but I'll keep an eye out on this thread.

Count me in as a "maybe".

I've gt lots of new toys on the truck that need some love. CB, front and rear bumpers, manual hubs....

[QUOTE=Marc P]So it looks like we have some interest. What about you guys from LA?? Lance, Bud, Bruce, anyone--QUOTE]

I may be tearing out my front diff Thanksgiving weekend, if I do I doubt I'll have it back in before the run. My ARB locker sprung an air leak internally during the Moab trip and I have a slight coolant leak that I need to fix soon as well.

Why are you guys taking apart your trucks at the start of desert season

I am still open to go the weekend before, but we need to pick the weekend and the place and start planning.

Lance put the bumper back on and get down here!!

There were a couple of those we ran over, I mean across, up at Big Bear back in August. They were fun to watch as tey hopped around on every obstacle due to the short wheel base but they looked like fun! The guys driving them were nuts, they used the skinny pedal, something I'm skilled at too, for everything they came across and didn't seem to care if it broke or not. Loonies!

Have fun with that!

I think Moab has a way of bringing out the weaknesses in vehicles from the sound of it.

I definately cannot go on the December 4th -5th weekend and I'm still a "maybe" for December 11th-12th.

Well the only significant damage I sustained was the bent rear lower control link (passenger side). A minor kink but enough to tell that it's not straight anymore.

The rear bumper had to be removed due to the BL that I added recently. I suppose I can come and visit ya guys down there showin my bare a$$ but I just got a new job and in the process of moving so my free time will be severely limited.

Guess it's back to working on my bumper so atleast I can be decently covered

Maybe i can drive the 40 own there? (yikes!)

I'm hunting around for all the GPS coordinates I can find for Ocotillo Wells, yeah kind of bored. I've just reinstalled my MapSource software and am playing around.

I was actually thinking of going out there sometime this coming week and just wandering around for the day in Anza or Ocotillo.

So far I've found a couple that seem credible:
  • Blu-In Park(Bar) N33 07.517 W116 02.653
  • Pumpkin Patch N33 13.483 W116 03.800
  • Shell Reef N33 11.450 W116 04.316
  • SVRA Entrance N33 09.068 W116 10.069
  • YotaJam Camp Spot 03/04 N33 09.570 W116 09.080
Well if you have anymore just reply using the above format so we can all use them easily. Maybe even just copy/paste what I have into your post and insert them where they fit alphabetically.

Tomorrow, I'll see about pulling my diff, so I can order up the parts. Fortunately I have a few spare outer axle stubs to install..... I guess I'll be running 2wd for a few weeks...... Then I need to locate the coolant leak and fix that as well......
