i test drove one today , im definitly goingto try and buy one . the one i test drove was an auto matic, im holding out for a blue one with the 6 speed manual. but i go in tomorrow to see if the numbers will work with my trade in and all.
definitly roomy cab for the front seat , back seat not much room . but i dont care how people feel in the back seat.
it almost seemed like the sales person was pushing me to buy the one they had , if it wasnt an auto matic i might have gone for it , but it was also the maroon colored one , which im not into either. it was fully load from what i could se , with all the options they had in stock as of now. it was listed at $30,??? as it was .

Does the FJ have the same underpinnings as the new 4Runner;I started some crap over on T4R and I stepped on some toes over there expelling the off road virtues of the new FJ over the 4th gens stock vs stock.

Wow, just lost a huge post due to network here.
I should remember to copy to clipboard first.
Short and sweet.
Pick up the FJ mag at your dealer now.
Tons of FJ info in it.
Frame is a modified overseas Prado frame, and predrilled for rock sliderz.
Suspension looks like 4th gen, but I can not confirm.
Coil over in front, 4 link rear.

Also, looks like there are spots on the roof for the Roof Rack which you can save money on if you order it through North Ridge Toyota and install it yourself. I would do the same, order the vehicle with the steelies and then get rims through North Ridge and have then shipped, same as the Rock Sliders.

they FINALLY have one on display at Toyota of Knoxville. I saw it in the lot when I was passing by on the interstate on my way to work this morning. I'll swing in this afternoon and see if it's still there and check it out if I can. It was yellow, and wasn't bad looking at all - although larger than the pics make it look online.
suspension is pure 4th gen / prado front and rear.
the only difference is supposedly the addtion of the rear locker.

Reading that free FJ mag, the locker is not always the ticket to get through the muck.
They say the locker is more for a straight line going up or down ruts and rock gardens.
But when it is slick and gooy, then you should utilize the A Trak or the VHC, one of the two, I forget.
But that FJ mag makes for some very good reading.
The Tellico and Rubicon articles are excellent.
Makes you feel like you are there with them.

Saw my first one close today. Well as close as driving past right by me in a parking lot is.
Two thoughts.:
1) It's bigger in person than I expected
2) It's uglier in person than I expected
