2007 Fj Cruiser
I have been looking at everything i can find on the new toyota, i love the grill, roof rack, and the full size spare on the back gate. What i dont like is the fact that it looks really low in the pictures, is it really that low? Anyone who has seen one at an auto show or somthing chime in on the ride height, hopefully they will have lifts out not long after the truck comes out. i think this thing will be awsome, i should start saving now.

We really need an fj cruiser section. I think it will be a hot seller. 4runner capability+ at a lower cost and new styling. If they had a diesel i would pre-order 1. I hope it's not full-time 4wd.

I might like it if they totally redesigned the front end, rear end.....well pretty much the whole body. I don't care how capable a vehicle is. if it looks like that....count me out.

on the ih8mud thread, I like the post #127, page 5, shows how it looks like a new version of the Iron Pig. Wish that one would have made it into production, would definetly buy it the second I had enough credit.

passing the word along...
Hello from 4WD Toyota Owner magazine!
It’s mid-December and we’ve had a great couple of months. 4WD Toyota
Owner and its editors have been to Surf N Turf, we’ve been to Palm
Springs, we’ve gone to desert races to see Tacomas win championships, we’ve
been out on the Dusy Ershim trail, and more. But one thing stands out…
I’m stoked to let you all know about a very cool announcement. First
and foremost, the upcoming Jan/Feb 2006 issue of 4WD Toyota Owner will
have EXCLUSIVE photos and drive reports on the 2007 FJ Cruiser that you
simply won’t find anywhere else. That’s correct, EXCLUSIVE photos and
editorial that gives a true, from-the-driver’s-seat account of how this
groundbreaking new machine performs off-road, including on the Rubicon
Trail. Not a passenger, not a view, but from DRIVERS. We will have not
one, not two, but FOUR different drive accounts. Both Senior Editor Ben
Crockett and myself have driven the FJ Cruiser, and the other two?
Well, suffice to say, they are DEEPLY involved with the FJ Cruiser in every
way. Yes, that’s a teaser, but there is an embargo on revealing details
about the FJ Cruiser and we can’t break it.
Photos? Glad you asked. We have photos not available ANYWHERE else of
the FJ Cruiser wheeling on the Rubicon, in the desert, in California on
the Rubicon, all over the place. More importantly, our photos will
truly illustrate the off-road capabilities of the 2007 FJ Cruiser. We don’t
mean the two pics we have on our website (themselves an exclusive scoop
when we got them), nor the ones on Toyota’s website—these are all new
and unpublished!
You’ve probably seen the cool piece of schwag that was given away at
several events for the FJ Cruiser. It consists of a unique, green nylon
bag embroidered with the “FJ Cruiser” logo. Inside that bag (itself a
cool item) are a ton of great goodies. There’s a brand-new FJ Cruiser
T-shirt, FJ Cruiser beanie cap, a smaller tote bag, and the collectible
“VIP Entry Pass” for the Ojai press intro inside the main bag. This bag
is tough enough to hold straps, chains, or tools. The rest of the gear
is equally cool.
You could only get one of these if you attended an invitation-only
Toyota event. Heck, some have already been seen on eBay going for almost
$200! But we are giving ours away to you, our readers! Anyone who has
already subscribed, or subscribes by January 1st, 2007, will be entered to
win this ultra-rare and extremely collectible collection of FJ Cruiser
items. To see the gear, click on the link below.
Please note: if you subscribe after December 20 you will not receive
the Jan/Feb 2006 issue with all the killer FJ Cruiser coverage, as that
is the cutoff date for subscribing and receiving that issue, and you
will have to purchase one separately. Of course, if you subscribe after
Dec 20 and by January 1 you will be entered, but your first issue will be
the March/April 2006 issue of 4WD Toyota Owner.
The new FJ Cruiser has been generating a ton of buzz since it was
announced. Don’t wait and end up missing the Jan/Feb issue of 4WD Toyota
Owner which will have this feature article!
To subscribe, (and to see the winnable FJ Cruiser schwag!) go to our
website at: http://www.4wdtoyotaowner.com. Or, send a check or money
order for $19.95 to: 4WD Toyota Owner, #102, 8750 Mary Ave NW, Seattle, WA
98117.
Good luck! And make sure you subscribe in time so you can see photos
and coverage that NO OTHER MAGAZINE will have. The 2007 FJ Cruiser is an
awesome machine, and you’ll learn all about it in the Jan/Feb issue of
4WD Toyota Owner, shipping soon!
Thanks and see you on the trails,
