95 3RZ-FE head gasket replacement tips?

are there any special things i should take into consideration when replacing the head gasket on this motor? the engine overheated due to a radiator leak. i've already installled a new water pump and completely flushed, but i was wondering if there were any special tips on cam removal and installation that i should pay attention to?

hi,
there are downloadable toyota manuals available here at yota tech. Yes there are several procedures for spring loaded cam removal on the dual overhead setup and special procedures for the torque to yield bolts if reusing old bolts. This is all standard procedure stuff the pain in the A$$ stuff is rusted manifold studs ect. but if your rig does not have allot of rusted bolts it sholdn't be too bad.

Make sure you get the head resurfaced. This engine is not as complicated as the 3.0 or 3.4 V6
