New dash switches for fog & driving lights
re-wired my IPF lights and added some fog lights today; put new switches into the dash, didn't like the ones that came with either light kit. Just thought I'd post these pics of the switches to give others ideas for theirs.
Not sure if I'm going to put my winch back on, I might put it on my 4runner instead; just lights on the bumper for now.
Anyway, there's plenty of room for extra switches with the removal of just the kick panel and the dash panel alone, hope this helps someone trying to decide locations for aftermarket accessories. turned out pretty good looking I think, better than the random wire coming out from somewhere and the switch stuck to the dash with sticky tape.
The blue on the left is for the fog lamps and the red is for my offroad lights; both illuminate only when lights are on; wired them both up to an accessory-on hot wire so they can be turned on independently from the headlights and/or hi beams.

yeah, I liked that blue switch when I found it at the local auto parts place in town; matched the fog lenses. The switches are both made in china and pretty crappy quality so not sure how long they will hold up but I liked the looks of them and they will be super easy to replace if they go bad or break.
I will try and remember to take pics of the wiring under the hood, have to clean up the ground connections but the rest is wired in nice. Used good connectors and covered everything up from lights to switch with automotive electrical tubing and secured with tape/zipties. The relays are mounted next to the battery and the fuses are both secured to the existing fuse box. I soldered in a few of the connections under the dash but I have quick disconnects at the switches as well as the lights to make bumper removal a bit easier.
now off to figure out what to add next... yeah right, have about $15k worth of stuff on my wish list... seems like the more stuff I add, the longer the wish list gets... hmmm
