450watts is > 1/2 Hp. Why would anyone have a stereo that uses that kind of power. I assume you are not mixing potential output with actual usage.
Measuring with a voltmeter, and, as the previous comment said, with an ammeter, is the way to understand what is happening.
One possibility is that the battery has a problem, despite charging to full voltage. You can do a load test, or swap out with a new battery to check that. If the new one does the same thing, worse case is you end up with two good batteries.

There is a very easy solution here that all of you have overlooked.....
Don't turn your truck off and listen to the radio for 15 minutes?
I mean, if thats the only time it does it...just dont do that anymore... simple enough. Kind of a stick your head in the sand mentallity, but hey it works.

I have a similar problem. I know it's different but maybe some of you can help. New Starter, New Optima Redtop(to try to solve problem), and two 600watt amps. The problem started not long after i installed the second Amplifier. Mine will start in the morning no problem but then lets say i get to my destination and turn of the truck, i can't start it for a couple mins(i just hear clicks) If i leave it there for an hour or two it will start up easily. I'm thinking mine would be a problem with not enough amps to recharge the battery. What do you guys think? And why does it start after a couple hours if supposably the battery doesn't have enough power?

I just think your battery is weak. My stock battery has plenty of cranking amps, but the stock radio kills it within an hour (or a little more) on medium volume. You should try a deep cycle battery.
Another possibility is something is wrong with the install and you're draining power through a ground somewhere. You'd have to get out the electrical tools to figure that one out though.
