CEL 22 And a Broken mystery Sensor.

howdy everyone. i hope someone can help me with this. my 3vze is throwing a cel 22(coolant temp sensor signal) so i went to check the coolant temperature sensor and noticed that the sensor right next to it was broken in half and i coudlnt figure out what it was. the truck runs fine only the cel comes on. and even the temp gauge in the console still works. if i knew what it was called i could replace it.
