Air horn wiring ...ack frack etc
Finished installing a Wolo air horn system today. Basically completely along lines of tech article here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f127...4runner-75281/ ---- piggybacked wire to compressor into the horn wire (at the horn) (this is on my 1992 Pickup). No relay as don't really need...
While the regular horn still works as it's supposed to when ignition is off, now when I turn ignition, both horns (I think) instantly start blasting. I know that there is some weird ground/off thing for the horns on some rigs (as mentioned in prior forums) but I is veeerrryy confused on dis simple topic.
HEP ME HEP ME
Thanks!

Oy, everone's a critic...and none too helpful, to boot.
Well, doofus that I am, I still figured it out: Since the current was obviously going through whenever ignition on, that meant that either a short somewhere, OR that the presumptive ground actually wasn't, and current was running through the system "backwards" when power on. Latter turned out to be the case -- what appeared to be a black ground wire (which I piggy'd onto) wasn't. So, rewired proper ground and now works like a charm.
Friggin' loud horn, BTW
