96 T100 Not starting new battery new starter
Truck wouldn't start so I jumped it and good. Got a new battery truck wouldn't start so I jumped it and good. Put a new starter in and wouldn't start but would jump still. The symptoms have always been the same even after installing new battery and starter. When key is on voltage meter in dash looks good then when I try to start it the voltage goes to 0. I was getting a solonoid rapid clicking before I put in new starter, now its just a single click. Is the next step starter relay?

Sounds like a bad connection someplace, check the voltage drops across all the main power (and ground) cables. You can't just look at a cable and if it looks good, call it done. You can get the copper oxidizing up under the insulation just past the terminal, it'll feel stiff in that section.

If the truck has the replacement ends at the battery ,I would clean them and clean the cable ends. Had this same problem with a farm tractor ,and after the owner tore the dash apart and replaced the battery ,it turned out to be a temporary replacement end.
