86 EFI Turbo computer problems

I recently obtained a 1986 Toyota EFI Turbo 4x4 (the truck worked fine when last parked). It had been sitting for a little over a year and a rat had done some minor damage to the wiring. After re-connecting all the wires the electonics seem to work and the engine turns over but the fuel pump will not work. I checked the pump and its good. I also noticed the check engine light does not turn on. The local toyota tech is saying it a computer problem. Does anyone have any insight on this before i throw down the 500$ on a new computer? Thanks -Steve

Also wondering if anyone could tell me where the ground wire coming from the passenger side of the engine block(parraleling the main battery ground) goes to. I think this might be my problem but i cant seem to find where it connects to.

Easy enough to make the fuel pump run:

I know this is an old thread but the ground goes to the intake lower stud and it grounds the ecu so if not hooked up it will not pulse the injectors anyway hope it was fixed before now but if not that should help no need to buy a new ecu
