Exclamation 1st gen 4runner taillight problem

I just got a 4runner last week, all the lights worked fine. It rained hard last night and i drove in it, and apparently sometime between 5 and 10pm, my taillights, rear window, and parking lights stopped working. today i changed some relays out, and checked the fuses. The taillight fused was blown, so i replaced it, and it blew the 15A. put in a 25A and it worked, and my rear window worked. I drove it tonight and my taillights and parking lights dont work, and it keeps blowing the taillight fuse. any help with where a short could possibly be would help.

Don't put in a larger fuse as the fuses need to blow...or you will burn your truck down.

Check your trailer hitch wiring is my guess where the short lies.

yeah i know that, we were just checkin to see if they would blow the 25A. I dont have a trailer hitch, so its probably not that haha. Also, we unplugged the connectors that run to the back of the truck for the taillights and all, and unplugged all the lamp assembly's, and they would still blow.

Do you think rain had something to do with it or simply coincidental?

What is all connected on that single fuse again?

im sure the rain had something to do with it since ive never had this problem, nor driven it in the rain. On the fuse box cover the fuse that blows says TAIL. Only the tail lights and parking lights dont work. The headlights, reverse, turn signals, fogs all work, and now the rear window works again.

took out the entire left side wiring harness today and checked it for cuts. Then put a 15A fuse in and started plugging stuff in one by one. Turns out whoever had it before be rewired the power antenna plug to run the rear window and it finally gave out. So now i can either roll my backwindow up without the lights on, or unplug the rear window control and use my lights till i get a new unrigged up switch
