removing the RS3000 is a piece of cake, esp if you have the install manual. its on my writeup at http://www.4runners.org/articles/rs3000 i just worked backwards from the install manual, check off each step, plugged the harnesses back in, and then fired it up to test if everything was kosher. even if you are slow as a turtle, shouldnt take you more than 1 hour. i dont know about vipers or cliffords, but a few of us have installed commando 870s. it was the first time i installed an alarm. three of us did it at the same time, compared notes, etc. it took us all a few days. sorry, no writeup for obvious reasons. but if you are comfy pulling apart some wires, soldering, etc and can identify the proper wires, it is not too difficult. bob |

Awsome, I think I'll tackle that soon then, give myself a Christmas present off of the tution reimbursement check coming soon.
The system you three installed, did that have the remote start feature? That's what I want more than anything(I'm tired of going outside to warm the car before I leave).

I took out the RS3000 system and installed the same alarm that bob did. The RS wasn't too bad to take out, just follow the wiring harness and disconnect the harness.
Install was pretty easy thanks to Bob, it only took me a couple of hours.
