First time I used it was when my fuel pump went out in the parking lot. I used the starter to drive the truck into a parking space!

I use it for less wear on my seats. When I start it in the morning to warm it up, i dont have to jump in and out of my truck. And it would come in handy if I ever need to move it out of the way or off the road.

Usually works best in 1st gear, low range. Clutch out, turn key, give it a little gas once it catches and drive away. With heavy 1/0 gauge battery cables, mine will start on the flat in 1st gear, high range and on as steep a hill as you can find in low or low-low range.

I use the button a lot usually just lazy about putting down my left foot, but it helps a lot when i need to start up on a hill. It helps when you need to bump start the thing too. My starter got fried a while back and a couple of times it was the only way to fire my baby up.
I did forget to put the tranny in neutral once... that was an intetresting launch out of the driveway... good thing I back in and there was no one coming down the road.

I have... but not in the sense for why it is there. Just when I want to start up the truck to let it warm up if I'm loading stuff...

When you said "clutch start" I thought you meant the button, which is not there for safety.

Hot wired the switch so that is always active. Not the safest thing but then I never let anyone else drive my truck. It's awesome to be able to start the truck while not being in the driver's seat.

Ahh, i see the confusion. No, the clutch start is just that. clutch to start, as in, the clutch must be fully depressed to start the vehicle. The clutch start cancel, which is the button, is for alowing one to start in gear.

The Last Time I Used It Was Last Week. The Battary Clamp Packed It In. Luckly The Parking Lot At Work Has A Big Slope. So I Started P Droved To The Nearest Canadian Tire And Pick Up A New One And Drove Home And Replaced It.

I use mine fairly regularly. Typical use is on a steep, rocky climb where the transfer case gearing isn't low enough to get me over an obstacle without slipping the clutch. It seems like it would be hard on the truck, but I used it hundreds of times on my last Toyota in ugly situations and never had an issue with it.

I use It religously! I heard that it saved on your clutch but maybe that is off base.
