The panel on my driver's seat is broke and hangs, really annoys me because it keeps falling down. And why the eff if I turn defrost off for one second, all the glass goes, "Poof" Covered, can't see anything everything gets fogged up.

I seemingly have this exact issue with my 2004 Tacoma. Drives me nuts. Dealer has tried to find it on several occasions (though, I'm not sure how hard they looked). Anybody have ideas on what would rattle on the driver's side dash, but only when the truck is cold? I suppose I'll try the racquetball idea, but I'd really like to just fix it.

o manny haha...
the auto tranny in my 4runner wont go into 2nd or drive..well it does go in but stalls out as if u were driving a stick and let the clutch out to fast, and now 4wd dont work..everything is a normal as it was when it did work..it clunks in and "feel" like i just shifted it in..but no lights on the dash sayin 4wd and the front d-shaft spins freely..ugh
awaiting warmer weather to pop in the spare tranny/t-case

sound like a T/C to anybody (for the tranny problems)

I have a 93 pickup with a 22re that runs wide open as soon as it starts. Ive done every I know to do. Ive check for air leaks, iac valve bypass, unpluged each injector one at a time. I'm stumped!!

'91 Runner 3.oh crap 4wd 5spd.

I have a clanking that comes from the rear when drive over bumps, a "rattle" from the pass. side dash, and after a small off-road trip, there is a bit of a screeching sound from the back at the slightest torque of the body. What's going on?

Sometimes when I take off in first gear the locker pops and the transmission slams out of gear creating a huge bang and the engine revs up... everyone looks at me like I'm a retard.

ALSO for some reason my truck will on occasion start and idle on three cylinders, I've tried changing plugs/wires etc.. it just does it sometimes, and on occasion the idle will drop to 400-500 rpm and lope, and run crappy, and then pop back up and run fine.. weird.

I need a new carb!

maybe your tank, try running some gum out or some kind of fuel cleaner. or if really brave, drain it and refill with fresh gas, might have some water or just muck in the bottom getting sucked into the fuel lines

LOL! My truck is the same way, drivethrus are the worst I never take my hand off the shifter till I hit 2nd... 1st gear is so low im tached out in like 3 seconds... haha!

My girlfriend still does it everything she drives it though



As for me....

I got a bad VCc wire from the TPS to the ECU, this is making timing the truck nearly impossible, which seems to be why its running rich...

And im just to lazy to remove the upper intake to get to the wiring harness...

My grill is sqeaking too... really anoying!!

Oh yeah and my o2 sensor studs/nuts are blobs of metal....

And my fuel filter is seized and needs to be changed!

wow old thread....and mine is the compartment doors in the back always open by themselves and end up just sliding around the cargo area and that's about it.

i did a 22r to 22re swap on my 91 and can't get the darn thing to idle right. it's surging between 1500 and 2500 rpm's. starts good and revs good just won't idle right. my 94 just rolled 262k miles and i have nothing to complain about other than the radio works when it wants to, oh and it could use new brakes

I have an oblong out-of-round vibe and low pitch rattle from the front end somewhere that I cannot track down after 5 days full on wrenching- feels like i have a washboard attached to my front right tire. at least it gives me a good butt massage and at around 40mph the rhythm matches most of those in my rock and roll playlist on the ipod!!
