i learned that 4runners are a "RTD" Ride Transmitted Disese. people who ride in my 4runner start calling me telling me about the deal they just found on craigslist and if i think its a good deal and telling me what they are going to to with it if they buy it

I realized that I STILL don't know what's missing from that passenger-side compartment in the cargo area

Those are some nice hold down straps in there though...

theres nothing missing it didnt have anything in there to begin with. i bought a first aid kit that fits nicely in the straps though and had the cargo net for my rack in there too for a while.

and everytime i see a lifted j**p ch****ee with 31s or 32s i laugh and say to whoever is with me that i can fit those stock with no problem

i know i dont own a 4runner, so i dont belong here, but ill throw this out there

after sandblasting AROUND the plastic peices that cover the "bolt holes" on my 88's wiper arms, i found out they are removeable if you maneuver them the right way.

and i found out those same plastic wiper arm peices were infact not broken on my 85, after about a year of thinking ghey were

Buy one in Brazil or any country that requires them and you will get a nice folding emergency warning reflector triangle.

  1. I could always find ways to spend money on these rigs.
  2. There should be a 12 step program to get me to quit.
  3. 3vz 3.0l suck - swap in a 5vzfe
  4. 22rte turbo suck - swap in the Supra CT-26
  5. Just because I had a 7mgte engine, didn't mean it was a good idea to put it into the 92 4$Runner....
  6. None of the 5 4runners have ever been as good as my '86 (LCE stage 2) 22re 5spd.

I discovered my 4runner originally had the 3.0, swapped for a 22re.
I discovered the person who did the swap, did it very poorly.
I discovered I'm running the stock 22re fuel filter AND the 3.0 fuel filter

I found out that when the previous owner was throwing in the sub system wires they somehow decided to cut the a/c idle up plug off. it ran at high idle every time I had the a/c off. finally got the idle down and went to turn on the a/c and the truck died. damn I hate people who try to wire things that they dont know about. Also found out that somehow the truck didnt burn due to all the open sub system cables. Again damn crappy wiring job!

I found out you do not let your 63-year-old mom drive your wife's 2006 4Runner. It took me over an hour to figure out how to get everything to work right again (valet setting in alarm, auto window feature calibration, etc., etc.)....

I found out the PO who did the alarm should never touch a car again. In addition, ignition key cylinder is from 1989 toyota while the rest of the keys are from 1988 toyota.

I found out what you're supposed to do to turn the deck light on. Then I found out the deck light still doesn't work

I discovered my 93 4runner with the 3.slow gets better gas mileage today than most equivalent size vehicles sold today.... 18+ mpg's fool! New 4runner: 17 if you're lucky.... and drive like grandma...

don't even ask me what the HP difference is, I know, I know....
