i love the 3.4, but as far as body style, most definatley the 2nd gen. (what I own) seems to me like its a little more macho than all the newer ones, especially with the 1.5 inch coils in the back, which make it look normal.

2nd gen. Originally got it because of the price, a whole 1000 dollars. But know I would stick with it, cause the new runners look funny. To big, heavy, and bulky. I do wish I had the 3.4 though.

I was curious on what the Wolverine looked like and Google came up w/nothing. I found this on Cardomain. If you all get a chance to look him up, Do so. I guess the guy doesnt realize what he has.

I'm from a 4Runner family myself. Our first was a '94, then my sister's first car was an '89. Then my dad got a '96. The '94 got in an accident. My mom got an '02 Sport Edition. Then we got a '95. Then I got my '01 Limited. Finally, my dad got a '97 Limited when my brother inherited the '96.
We currently have five 4runners. See my avatar. I know they're hard to see, but they're in chronological order from left to right.
I think the '96 will always be my favorite: I put 100,000 miles on it going to college and I really miss it. All our cars have names, too.

1st Gen! I'm surprised that majority is 3rd Gen. I couldn't go on living with out my removable top! I've even had it off through all the rain. Not that theres been a lot.
