Hot glue smell

Hot glue smell
I recently (a month ago) bought a 98 LTD T4R 4x4 3.4L
Just two days ago I installed a bug shield and uninstalled two Pioneer amps and two Alpine 10" subs. I am now noticing a hot glue smell whenever the engine is running. I cant think of anything that would relate the smell to the work I did but just getting all the info out in the open.
I have looked/smelled around the engine and cant find anything that pops out...it all looks normal.
Any ideas? Im at a loss...(Ive also spent a lot of time searching past threads and couldn't find anything)
Thanks!
Matt

Plastic bag or like stuck to the converter or muffler? That gets pretty stinky when things warm up. Sure it's not a sulphur smell?

Thanks for the replys...
The smell is definately coming from the engine compartment. Not a melting bag or anything. I cant find any wires that are melting either...
Im getting frustrated cause the smell is strong as ever and Im afraid Im damaging something...
Any more ideas?

Let the smoke out! Just kidding. But do check to make sure all your fuses are the correct amperage. Give a real good look around stuff that gets hot... around exhaust manifolds, radiator, etc. Good luck and let us know when you find it.
