im actually guessing i dont need it. mostly offroad ill just cruise around in 4low 1st, or second gear, so with short gears like that i can hit my peak torque range pretty quickly, if i ever need to get maximim torque. onroad i barely ever go over 40, i dont see a need to drive fast like most teenagers. the truck performs great now for what i use it for, so i guess i could do without it.
but on the other hand, curiousity is killing me, i wanna see how different it is with the different cam, who knows, maybe ill like it?

unless you know how to change valve springs with the head on or want to take the head off to change them, I wouldn't get it. Not to mention the cost of the valve springs to run that cam. Stock springs are not gonna handle the extra valve lift that cam gives.

i was just looking at some valve springs, idk what lift i need, but regardless they're expensive. hell, i better go check to see if i still have my valve spring compressor (wich i dont think i do anymore)

IMO these cams should be reserved for the supra/celica etc etc crowd. And unless your running a header, full exhaust, larger throttle body, high flow air filter, larger diameter valves, I doubt your even gonna see 75% of what the cam is capable of. Which probably wouldn't be alot to begin with.

i have got it close a few times, but nothing like the p/o used to. and it was running without oil, water in the gastank, no coolent...suprised it survied....
but seriously, when the p/o and i used to mud bog in my truck a few years ago before i got it, he would get stuck and just redline it for about 30 seconds before he let off. and everytime id tell him to stop or he's gonna blow it up, he would always say "what do you mean, i do this all the time" lol
and the moral of the story?? the truck survived all that with a stock camshaft (well that wasnt really the moral, i just figured i would relate it somehow so its not off topic)
