Has anyone here used the AllData DIY maintenance website Alldata that has used the FSM? I am subscribed to the AllData one, but have never used a FSM. I talked to one of the guys at the Auto shop next to where I work and he says that it is what they use for their repairs. It is a little confusing to use, but all of the diagrams and instructions are pretty good (Alot better than my Haynes manual). I was just wondering how they compare and who elso uses it.

Not sure abaout alldata, but the Toyota FSM's are very comprehensive. For instance the 93 Land Cruiser FSM was about 3+ inches thick (~8 1/2" x 11"). 100 times better than haynes/chilton (which cover multiple models/years, in a book 1/8 the size) etc.

I work at a shop that uses alldata. It doesn't have everything. Especially on older years. I have an 85 FSM and it is a TON better than alldata. Just curious, how much do you pay if you don't mind me asking and do you have access to all makes and models or just one?

IIRC its 24 per year for alldata. and then 14 / extra car.

Yeah I have the ALLDATA for my 4Runner, a 99 Tacoma and a 2001 Nissan frontier. BTW what is the aprox. going rate for a complete FSM?

the shop i work at uses alldata and mitchel. the alldata is better for procedural info and mitchel is awesome for wire diagrams and electrical stuff. these subscriptions are around $1200 a year a piece. i was unaware that you could get a subscription for a single vehicle. of the two i like alldata the best, as it's easier to use. now i have a hard time using a paper manual.

Yeah the individuals would be for the DIY mechanics, no need for them to pay $1200 for vehicles they don't need.
