Whats the largest width I can go on a 96 tacoma?

I am looking to buy some new wheels/tires. I have stock lift. (NO LIFT). I don't want them to stick to far in or too far out! What width should I get with a 15" rim? Also what would be a good tire (mud look) to go with along with a size? I would like the tire to roll over the rim a little bit. (so obviously a wider tire than the rim right?) . So here's my question's that I would love answers for and if anyone has pictures then that would awsomeness!

-Largest width w/o sticking toooo far out of fender?
-Nice tire
-Nice size

Thanks alot!

O forgot to mention stock height. No lift. So 12.5 is the widest without sticking out the fender well? Thanks mak92

So 35 absolutely won't fit my truck? I would really enjoy having these.

Alright this is gonna sound dumb but I want an 8" wide wheel right? or 10?
What about this setup? What's a 4" backspacing? And does 4" backspacing work for my truck?

stock wheels are fine but a 8'' with the correct back spacing will work just fine
