What to clean MAF with?
Hey guys, newbie question here, I am going to clean my MAF today and I am wondering what to use? I have searched and a lot of people suggest electrical contact cleaner, and then I read this write-up: http://www.ultimateyota.com/index.ph...26&topic=317.0 and it is suggested to use brake cleaner? My truck has 240,000 on it and I am positive it has never been cleaned, I just bought the truck it is a 96 Tacoma.
Thanks for the help

CRC makes two products that will work. MAF Sensor Cleaner (harder to find), and Brakleen (easy to find and works well). I used Brakleen and it worked great and evaporated extremely fast. I think it's about $4 a can at AutoZone.
Good luck!

No problem, just be sure to be really gentle with the sensor...I wouldn't stick the "straw" of the can anywhere near the actual sensor and don't blast it too hard.
Good luck! Post up with results!
