truck won't start

hello everyone. I'm sure this question has been asked before but I havent been able to find the answer doing a search. so if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
here is my problem, I recently had check engine light and my truck needed a tune up I changed the ign. coil and dis. cap. and rotor, the truck ran fine for about 2 weeks and now it doesn't want to start I replaced the starter with a new one i replaced the batterry, I checked all the fuses and relays, all was fine. I checked the ign. switch and also seems good. every time I turn te key the starter clicks but doesn't crank the engine it just clicks. I'm new at this so if anyone can tell me how to recheck relays and the voltage that goes through them would be helpful.
If this post is confising I'm sorry I live in the palm springs area and it was over 100 degrees today and i been messing with the truck for about 4 hrs. and its almost 11 pm and im tired
if u need any more info let me know
Oh yeah my truck is a 89 toy. pick up 22re 4x4

Does anybody know if 22re will run without the MAF, i damaged mine during IRS mod and my truck won't start. The truck fires up and races for about 2 seconds and then dies even with acceleration. It's around 200$ for a new MAF and the air box sucks anyways so I was wondering if there was a way to bypass the entire MAF system and junk the box.

Not sure, its there for a reason.

What about local junkyards, have you tried there?

Not without the fuel pump test jumper:

And may not run really well like that. Used AFM is not that expensive:
