Tried to raise my idle and nothing happened
Hey i just got my first yota its got the 22re on 33s 4x4 of course and its a 91, And im use to fords and chevys so ill be one this site alot. But my brother tried to raise my idol with the flat head screw and nothing happened, dos this mean i have a leak in the pile of hoses and will that effect smog

Probably pull the cable and see if the drive gear is intact and attached. If so, you could try spinning up the cable and see if it spins up at the speedo end, or run it with an electric drill and see if the speedo needle moves. If not, the cable may have snapped and you need to replace it.

Guess it depends on which end you took off and spun. If it was at the t-case end, then that says something in the cable up to the speedo is sticking. Could be the cable has snapped and the broken end is stuck in the housing and not letting it spin. Or it could be the speedo itself seized, you could check that by disconnecting the cable on the back of the speedo and see if it'll spin with both ends loose. If not, cable is toast, if so, speedo is toast.
