thicker oil

I run Amsoil 10w30 instead of 5w30 because it reduces valve chatter. A lot of people run slightly thicker oil in high mileage engines (like me w/ 200K) because it wont seep through worn rings/seals as bad.

used 10/30 synthetic, i've tried 5/30 synthetic and it always gave me really low oil pressure, went to 10/40 last week to try that out. my oil cap says to use 15/40 but thats some thick stuff.
